Our Story
Zulmac was established in 1999 by Mr. Simon Juma, who left his career in insurance to pursue his passion. Initially, he and his wife, Mrs. Carolyne Juma, planned to name their company “Sulmac.” However, upon discovering that the name was already registered, Mr. Juma, thinking on his feet, creatively altered it to “Zulmac” at the registry—giving the company a unique identity.
His dedication and expertise quickly earned the trust of international clients, leading them to entrust him with managing their properties in Kakamega. By 2000, Zulmac had expanded into estate and property management, steadily growing its presence across Western Kenya, including Kakamega, Vihiga, and Bungoma counties.
Following Mr. Juma’s passing in 2018, Mrs. Carolyne Juma took over estate management, while their son, Mr. Ian Simon Juma, assumed leadership of the insurance division. Today, Zulmac continues to uphold its reputation as a trusted name in both insurance and property management.
